In 2014, after 20 years in criminal litigation, Eric made the life changing decision to pivot into the world of legal cannabis.  With two partners from his neighborhood, the three collaborated to create the Evergreen Market brand of retail stores. At the Evergreen Market their focus has been on changing the narrative of cannabis around the core values of Educate, Celebrate and Elevate.

Alden Linn

Alden Linn is the CEO and Founder of World of Weed. Alden has 11 years of experience owning, operating, leading, and growing businesses in real estate, consumer goods and service industries. Before leading World of Weed, Alden worked 10 years in technology at Bsquare and Microsoft Research prior to Microsoft Advertising.  Alden then started Picky Sticky with his wife and then Talon Homes to invest in REO’s and Short Sales. Linn’s strength lies in opportunity analysis; his specialty is evaluating business opportunities and crafting and implementing the vision and strategies necessary to drive financial growth. Alden particularly enjoys building teams and mentoring staff.  Through creating and nurturing long lasting relationships Alden is very good at effecting change. Along with his wife Tisha, and their two children, Alden likes to spend time snow skiing, snowboarding, surfing, boating, waterskiing and wake surfing. Alden believes strongly in a philanthropic commitment to his community and regularly donates and contributes to organizations like TACS, Vulnerable Person Charity and others.

Kc Franks moved to the Seattle area in 2000 to enter film school and pursue his creative passions. Kc worked the trenches of the Seattle radio scene and then went to work at KOMO 4 News, where he got a feel for the fast-paced, deadline oriented world of local television news.  Eventually he took the helm of an entertainment company for 2yrs, before leaving that venture to build his own cannabusinesses.

Herb (n) Elements

With a 17 year career in Event Planning, opening Herb (n) Elements cannabis shop in Seattle with her husband and nephew utilized many skills Andrea already possessed including sales & marketing, high level organization, creative problem solving, vendor relations, customer loyalty, networking and a sense of humor. Now that the business has grown to 28 employees, she has settled into the role of General Manager instead of being a Jill of all trades! Last year, she was honored as one of the 75 Most Influential Women in the Cannabis Business by Cannabis Business Executive Press. Herb (n) Elements is “Your Neighborhood Joint,” a family owned and operated recreational & medical cannabis retailer.

Logan Bowers
Board Member At Large

Hashtag Cannabis 

Fremont, Seattle and Redmond  

After 15+ years in the tech industry, in April 2015 Logan launched a successful cannabis retail store located in the Fremont area of Seattle. Seeing a need for retailers to have a voice in this burgeoning industry, he then co-founded CORE in October of 2015. By 2017, he opened a second store in Redmond, WA and is currently developing tech solutions to everyday problems in the industry.

Brooke Davies
Director of Operations

Brooke Davies entered the cannabis industry two and half years ago after moving to Seattle from Northern Virginia. In that time Brooke has tackled all different parts of the industry including managing, purchasing and brand development for Hashtag Cannabis, a retail store with locations in Seattle and Redmond Washington. In 2016 Brooke became the Director of Operations at CORE. Brooke has developed state and local legislative agendas, organized educational, networking and fundraising events, and coordinated regulatory compliance with the LCB. Brooke has a B.S. in Physics from the University of Mary Washington and has worked previously has a teacher of Advanced Placement Physics.

Jerina Pillert
CORE Staff

In April 2015, Jerina spearheaded the opening of Hashtag Fremont in Seattle and helped co-found CORE in October 2015. By 2017, she was overseeing all operations for Hashtag Fremont and lauching Hashtag Redmond. She is currently seeking opportunities to consult in this nascent industry and to grow her businesses. Her particular interests are in how we can shape our industry to promote inclusion, diversity, and opportunities for all.
